    Maybe the CFL needs to release just how profitable the league (and clubs) are to quell questions on how teams losing money can afford to spend more.

    Getting public money is proving to be difficult, so this is meant to sweeten the deal. I can’t see this will swing either level of government. Both the province and feds could buy recreation bubbles for Winnipeg and throw the rest of the money at infrastructure and be further ahead with the public. However, Winnipeg or Manitoba will never see the $40 million from Ottawa unless it is in this project. It is not like they are waiting to see what they spend it on.

    Wetenhall Makes Rumblings About Salary Cap Changes → All I need is a guarantee from Wetenhall that no matter how much he loses, he won’t walk away from the Alouettes and he can give any veteran player a $5000 raise to keep him. But he can’t participate in the veteran CFL free agent market. #
