All I need is a guarantee from Wetenhall that no matter how much he loses, he won’t walk away from the Alouettes and he can give any veteran player a $5000 raise to keep him. But he can’t participate in the veteran CFL free agent market. #

After going to the media to force a meeting with the Montreal Mayor, Alouettes President Larry Smith seems confident the city will meet their commitments for $4.3 million for a $29.3 million stadium expansion project. The Bill 22 amusement tax will complicate things, but if the Alouettes can’t get that money directed to them to expand a stadium that is necessary for their survival, then Montreal doesn’t want the economic benefit of the team in Montreal. #

Chris Pronger was suspended 1 game for his elbow on Dean McAmmond in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Not penalized on the play, Pronger likely blames the bleeding heart Canadian media for his suspension, who had Pronger missing game 4 before the league stated they were reviewing the hit. #
