A winner has been declared in the 2006 Overtime Central Road to Grey Cup Pool.

Overtime Central is pleased to announce that team Kenton “MaryJ” Keith, coached by Chad Olynick, pulled out the victory in the 2006 Road to Grey Cup Pool. After a poor start, Olynick powered to second and first place finishes the final two weeks to take the championship by three points with 87 points. Olynick takes home $77 for the victory.

Tying for second place was 4goodtimecall(403)340-xxx (name modified to protect the not so innocent), coached by Jim Fedyk and CupCountdown, coached by Cindy Kreutzer, who both finished with 84 points. Both teams counted 40 points the final week to move up one spot and a share of the money. They split second and third place prizes of $33 or $16.50 each.

Congratulations to the winners. Winnings will be credited to your accounts within a week. Overtime Central thanks everyone for their participation. Look for changes at overtimecentral.ca coming before we return (we hope) for NHL playoff contests.

Overtime Central announces a new CFL pool just in time for the playoffs.

Overtime Central is pleased to announce the 2006 Road to Grey Cup Pool. This pick-the-score pool adds some new twists to provide an exciting contest for all Overtime Central members.

This quick contest, consisting of only five games over the three weeks of the CFL playoffs and championship, will match the wits of seasoned veterans and new pool players alike. Each week the scoring factor increases; no one is ever out of it in the final game. The Semi-Finals define the base scoring factor of one. In the Finals, scoring values are doubled and in the Grey Cup, scoring values are quadrupled.

Other tweaks to the scoring include, of course, the removal of scoring for tie games, and tweaks to the Overtime/Non-overtime scoring to account for the reduced number of games. Entry fees and prize divisions have remained the same. Check out the full rules before signing up.

This contest is certainly going to make the exciting CFL playoffs even more exciting. Sign up today and tell your friends.
