A subtle combination of an old comic strip, an action series and an imdb.com movie listing, this team name is like a decadent desert with many layers I can’t get enough of. I still laugh every time I see it.

    Frustrated Pronger Lashes Out at Media →

    Discussing his one game suspension, Pronger attacked NHL officiating as being inconsistent and said the NHL should not be pressured into handing out suspensions by the Canadian media. I thought the suspension to Pronger was suspect as was the only penalty on the play, a major boarding penalty on Niedermayer. Referees see blood and something must be called it seems.

    Rule 44

    1. A minor or major penalty, at the discretion of the Referee, based upon the degree of violence of the impact with the boards, shall be imposed on any player who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently in the boards.
