September 2006 CFL Pool Segment Winner

Congratulations to pigskin_chucker and WASC for tieing for first place in the September Segment of the 2006 Overtime Central CFL Pool. This is our first tie since we started to award segment prizes.

pigskin_chucker, coached by Jon Fedyk, and WASC, coached by Greg Kreutzer, finished with a total of 94 points for September. That total, out of a possible 290 points, equals a 32.41% pick accuracy rate. Close behind this month was CFL4Ever, who fell short by 8 points.

Since we cannot split a Ciniplex Odeon gift certificate, Jon and Greg each win a $2 credit on their accounts. Jon and Greg have until October 9th to email Overtime Central to confirm their prize.

    So fixed.

If one of them forgets to email OC, does the other get the gift certificate?

I think it falls to 3rd place automatically. Wouldn’t want it to go to waste… :)

Asper Adds Recreation Dome to Stadium Proposal → Getting public money is proving to be difficult, so this is meant to sweeten the deal. I can’t see this will swing either level of government. Both the province and feds could buy recreation bubbles for Winnipeg and throw the rest of the money at infrastructure and be further ahead with the public. However, Winnipeg or Manitoba will never see the $40 million from Ottawa unless it is in this project. It is not like they are waiting to see what they spend it on. #
